Parents/Carers of children who have an EHCP or are in the process of obtaining an EHCP are welcome to make an appointment to visit the school.
Parents/carers should inform their child’s existing school or case worker should they wish to request a place at GHA.
If a specialist placement is agreed by Lincolnshire County Council a consultation for a place at GHA may be sent by the child’s caseworker. The school has 15 working days in which to raise queries and respond, identifying whether there is a space and whether needs (based on the EHCP) can be met.
If the school is able to meet needs and has a place available they will communicate this with the child’s caseworker. There will be opportunities to discuss transition, uniform, transport, lunches and future arrangements.
Policies including Child Protection, Attendance and Positive Behaviour Support are available on the website, along with the Parent/Carer Code of Conduct.
A transition plan based on the individual child’s needs will be agreed.
A pack of paperwork, including emergency arrangements, medical needs and consent for education visits will be shared for signing by parents/carers.
If no place is available immediately but needs can be met, your LCC Caseworker will be able to advise. GHA do not hold a waiting list for admission.
