Spalding Christmas Celebration

There will be plenty of festive fun in Spalding on Sunday 8th December, as a Christmas Celebration takes place in the town centre and at Ayscoughfee Hall Museum and Gardens.

The event will run from 10:30am until 4:00pm at Ayscoughfee Hall Museum and Gardens and from 10:30am until 4:30pm in Spalding Town Centre. There will be a range of activities, performances and entertainment to bring the community together, as well as to promote a local Christmas shopping experience using the variety of independent and other shops and stalls on offer in Spalding.

• At Ayscoughfee there will be Christmas story time with Father Christmas, a Christmas craft fair and Victorian fairground rides.

• The town centre will have street entertainment including Christmas themed stilt walkers and Circus Elves, and musical performances throughout the day from brass bands, choirs and singers. There will also be a giant snow globe, Ark Farm Living Nativity and lots of Christmas stalls selling food and crafts.

• At 4:00pm carols by candlelight will be sung around the Christmas tree before Santa closes the event at 4:30pm

Spalding Nutcracker Trail

Saturday 7th December until Sunday 22nd December; Spalding Town Centre

Explore Spalding Town Centre as you hunt for 14 Nutcracker Soldiers hidden in participating stores. The competition is completely free for residents to enter and trail booklets can be picked up from all participating businesses, Ayscoughfee Hall Museum and Gardens, South Holland Centre and The Council Offices at Priory Road.

Once you have found all their names and completed the trail, post your completed booklet at one of our three Nutcracker post boxes by Sunday 22nd December. These are located at;

• South Holland Centre

•Ayscoughfee Hall Museum and Gardens

•The Council Offices, Priory Road

 

The prize draw will take place on Monday 23rd December with 3 lucky winners receiving a hamper of fantastic prizes in time for Christmas!
