GHA News! RRSA Award/World Book Day/Farm Visit!

Lots of good news from Gosberton House Academy!

Gosberton House Academy is a UNICEF GOLD Rights Respecting School!

This award means that we have fully embedded children's rights throughout our school's policy, practice and ethos. We had some fantastic comments from the assessor including the following:
‘The school’s work on emotional wellbeing and positive relationships is notably strong’.
‘The school is committed to supporting pupils’.
‘Staff go over and above to listen to children’.
‘The school has a caring and inclusive ethos’.
We are very proud of this achievement. We would like to thank our staff and share this achievement you all!

The children participated in World Book Day! They spent some time in our newly refurbished Story Den which is a cosy and calm place to read. The children shared stories of their choice with a partner and had some delicious hot chocolate and snacks! Later in the day there was a big book swap!

We were also very lucky to have an entire farm visit us for the morning! The children walked to the field to visit the pig, donkey, sheep, goat and a dog! Inside the hall were some more small, furry animals including rabbits, guinea pigs, a chipmunk and a tortoise!

What an exciting term we are having so far!
