School Meals

School Meals

As you know, from our own school kitchen we provide the option of a hot meal at lunch time every day. Our menu is designed to provide a varied and healthy choice which means that your child can enjoy a tasty, healthy meal at a very fair cost and without the fuss of making packed lunches.

Many children at our school are already eating school meals and some children receive free school meals.  If you think you may be entitled please ask for a form from reception.  The process is quick and easy. Otherwise meals cost £2.20 per day. We also provide a gluten free or vegetarian menu and can cater for other diet requirements.

At Gosberton House Academy we believe that school meals give your child a real appetite for learning and help them to achieve their full potential. In addition to eating a hot meal your child learns the essential skills of using cutlery and eating as part of a family group. Such vital skills help you as a family in your daily life outside of school. This is why we are writing to encourage and support every child to eat at least one cooked meal a week.  Please study the menu overleaf and let us know if you would like to choose some meals.  Some parents worry that their child may be hungry if they do not eat much when trying new things but please be assured that they have plenty of healthy snacks and water throughout the day.
